He experienced great success during three separate stints as the head women’s tennis coach from 1992-1995 2000-2001 and in the spring of 2009. In a total of seven seasons, he guided his teams to four Lake Michigan Conference Tournament titles to go along with four LMC Coach of the Year awards. He tallied an impressive 28-6 (.823) career record against LMC competition and his 38 dual wins is the most in college history. From 1994-1995, his teams went undefeated (10-0) in LMC regular-season matches and won back-to-back tournament championships. After a three-year hiatus he returned in 2000 for two more seasons as head coach and in 2001, he again was perfect against LMC teams (5-0) and added another LMC tournament title. In 2009 he returned as interim coach and guided the team through their first NCAA Tournament appearance.
