Credited with being the “Father” of Edgewood College Athletics, because he started a fledgling men’s intercollegiate basketball team in 1971. He coached the men’s basketball team, while he was still a student at Edgewood College and likely was the only collegiate student-coach in America at the time. He also is credited with choosing the “Eagles” nickname. He graduated in 1977 with a business degree.
