Kristin Elliott played softball for Edgewood College from 1991-94 and was considered one of the most dangerous hitters of her era. Elliott, a native of Deerfield, Wis., was a four-time All-Lake Michigan Conference First Team selection. In her senior year, she was named the Lake Michigan Conference Player of the Year and an NAIA All-American. At the time of her graduation, Elliott ranked first in career batting average at .410 (currently ranks third) and her career on-base percentage of. 558 still ranked first all-time at the time of her Hall of Fame induction. Elliott's bat was so feared, teams often choose to pitch around her, resulting in 111 career walks which ranks first in Edgewood College history by a margin of over 40 bases on balls.
