TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Edgewood College men's golf team competed in their first tournament of 2025 on Saturday. The Eagles competed at the Great Lakes Invitational, hosted by Rose-Hulman. Due to anticipated inclement weather on day two of the tournament, both rounds (36-holes) were completed on Saturday by all participants. The Eagles finished in 10th place with a two-round total of 669.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Raymond Jordan paced Edgewood College with a two-round total of 154 (+12), finishing in a tie for 18th place. He opened the tournament with an 81, before improving to a 73 in round two. Jordan carded four birdies in round two.
- Charlie Huerth opened the tournament with an 86 before closing the day with a 78. Huerth carded a 165 to place 38th on the day. Huerth carded three birdies in each round.
- Jacob Frederickson posted a 174 on Saturday. Frederickson opened the tournament with his best round, an 85 before carding an 89 in round two.
- Samuel Hjortland and Joe Huskey rounded out the Eagles lineup on Saturday. Hjortland carded a 179 to finish in a tie for 57th place, while Huskey recorded a 185 to place in a tie for 63rd.
THE TOURNAMENT
- Host Rose-Hulman took home the team title at 586 strokes (+18) across two rounds. University of Dubuque placed second (591), while Kenyon's reserve team finished third (600).
- Austin Frick of Rose-Hulman won medalist honors with a four-under par 138. He posted two rounds of 69 to win the tournament.
