HOW THEY GOT HERE:
- The Eagles capped off their most successful NACC campaign ever in the NACC Tournament. Edgewood University left little room for doubt in the final, sweeping Aurora 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-18) to claim the crown. They enter the NCAA Tournament on a 16-match winning streak as well as a 13-0 mark in NACC play.

- The Eagles were battle-tested throughout the season, taking on six teams featured in the November 11 version of the AVCA Division III Poll. They were pushed to their limits in the NACC Tournament Semifinal, but broke through a determined Concordia Wisconsin squad with a rally for the history books in a five-set thriller.

- The Gusties enter the NCAA Tournament looking to bounce back after a pair of losses to wrap up their season, including a 3-2 loss to Saint Benedict in the MIAC Semifinal. Gustavus Adolphus also enters the matchup with several strong foes under their belt, taking on nationally-ranked squads such as UW-Whitewater and knocking off then-No. 10 WashU in a five-setter.

THE TEAMS
- Blocking was once again the Eagles' specialty. They finished fifth in Division III in blocks per set (2.56) and third in total blocks (279.5). Payton Millin paced the NACC and was 14th in the nation with 1.22 blocks per set and fifth in Division III with 128 total blocks.

- Edgewood University held opponents to a .118 hitting percentage, topping the NACC and 41st in Division III. Mia Hinkamper excelled at libero all season, second in the NACC with 4.83 digs per set. Hinkamper and Millin were also both First Team All-NACC.

- Katie Borchert was the NACC Player of the Year and proved why in the conference tournament, including a career high 23 kills and 25 digs in the semifinal against the Falcons. Borchert was second in the NACC with 3.56 kills per set and posted career highs in kills (374), aces (26), and digs (297) while reaching 200 career blocks and 1,000 career kills.

- Abbey Eivins and Kate Gunderson paired up to be an effective setting tandem all year. Eivins paced the squad with 541 assists and 37 aces, while Gunderson earned 442 assists and 36 aces. Both players fueled a well-oiled machine on offense and provided sparks when the team needed it down the stretch and Eivins earned a Second Team All-NACC nod.

- Marina Hosticka, Molly Amendt, and Natalie Murphy round out the impressive core of blockers for Edgewood University. Hosticka shined as a middle blocker, second on the squad with 91 blocks. She was also 57th in the country and 3rd in the NACC with 1.00 blocks per set. Murphy earned 83 blocks, good for sixth in the NACC, while Amendt tallied 54.

- Nida Zukauskaite excelled as a sophomore, earning a Second Team All-NACC honor. She was second on the squad with 280 kills. Jennacy Wille played crucial points in the back row, reaching 1,000 career digs this past season as a consistent member of the rotation.

- The Gusties bring a balanced effort to the affair, the team finishing top three in all major statistical categories in the MIAC. They were 31st in kills per set in Division III with 13.02 and 36th in digs per set with 17.66.

- Maren Sundberg impressed as the Gustavus Adolphus libero. The All-MIAC senior was 51st in the country with 4.95 digs per set.

- The Gusties had three hitters finish top ten in the MIAC in total kills. Leah Berg put together an All-MIAC campaign with 342 kills, good for third in the league and 100th in Division III. Sydney Timm also collected All-MIAC hardware and hit 294 kills, while Logan Brent posted 285 of her own.

- Greta Tompkins played a key part in the Gustavus Adolphus with her blocking and serving. The first-year All-MIAC player paced the team with .79 blocks per set and 49 aces.

- The two teams met earlier this year in Dubuque, Iowa on September 12. The Gusties shined in a sweep of the Eagles, winning 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-18) over two months ago.

THE FIELD
- The winner of Edgewood University/Gustavus Adolphus will await the winner of host UW-Oshkosh vs. Greenville. The victorious squads will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
