LEXINGTON, Ky. – Edgewood University outside hitter Katie Borchert was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association Honorable Mention All-America team on Wednesday, as the AVCA released their All-America selections this morning.
Borchert made the list after a dominant season in the Eagle uniform. The senior was named First Team All-Region, NACC Player of the Year, and First Team All-NACC. Borchert was a huge force to help the Eagles claim their third-straight NACC Tournament Championship.
The Lake Mills, Wisconsin native posted a career high in kills (384), aces (26), and digs (310) in 2025. Borchert also posted 68 blocks.
Borchert finished the season with double-digit kills in 21 matches and double-digit digs in 15. The All-America nod is the third in women's volleyball history. Most recently, Jordan Winkler claimed Honorable Mention All-America honors following the 2015 season. The first-ever women's volleyball All-American in Edgewood University history was current assistant coach Mallory Palmer, who claimed the honor following the 2012 season.
