FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's golf team saw personal-best set by all four golfers at the Marian University Fall Invite. The meet was played at Whispering Springs Golf Club on Friday and Rolling Meadows Golf Course on Saturday. Braxton Brown led the Eagles, finishing in a tie for fifth place and carding the Eagles second best 36-hole score in program history.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brown opened play carding an 86 on Friday. Going into Saturday she was tied for fourth place. She carded an 82 to remain in the top 10 and tie for fifth place overall. The senior's 36-hole score of 168 is her career-best and goes down as second best in program history.
- Kendall Kafar carded a career-low 36-hole score of 200 to finish in 35th place. Her second-round score of 94 also is a career-best for the freshman.
- Nadia Marshall carded two career-best marks on the weekend. She opened the meet with a 134 and closed with a career-best 18-hole score of 121. Her total of 255 went down as another career-best and put her in 44th place.
- Kamryn Ibinger posted career-best marks on both days. She opened with a 136 on Friday, closing the tournament with a 130. Her two-round total of 266 was good for 47th place.
THE TOURNAMENT
- Lake Forest College came out as the top team by 12 strokes over host Marian University. The Foresters carded a team score of 671 (+95).
- Yinan Lu of Marian University took home medalist honors, shooting a two-round total of 156 (+12). She opened the meet with a 77 before closing with a 79 on day two.

- Edgewood College will return to competition on Tuesday, September 17 at the Benedictine Fall Invite. Action is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. from St. Andrews Golf & C.C. in West Chicago, Ill.
