HOW THEY GOT HERE
- After taking down an Illinois Tech squad playing their best volleyball of the year, the Eagles battled with the fourth-seeded Concordia Wisconsin Falcons at the Edgedome Thursday evening. The Falcons gave Edgewood College everything they could handle, but the Eagles would prove to be too much and sent themselves to the finals with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 29-27) victory. Abigail Hoffmann continued to do just about everything, finishing with eight kills, eight digs, 18 assists, four blocks, and three service aces with a .350 hitting percentage. Ashley Bruehlman swung for 10 kills and a .292 attack percentage, while four from Edgewood College tallied four or more blocks. Abbey Falk led the group with six blocks

- The Spartans found themselves locked in a marathon of a match against third seed St. Norbert. After dropping the first set 25-23, they roared back 25-14 to even the match. The Green Knights proved to be tenacious, taking the third set 25-20 for a 2-1 lead. The Spartans proved to be as strong as ever on offense, finishing the victory with 25-19 and 15-10 frames to earn their trip to the final. Dani Lauer and Lulu Torres each had double-doubles, Lauer earning 14 kills and 16 digs while Torres tallied 19 kills and 20 digs. Hannah Joseph fueled the offense with 61 assists and Riley Moreno anchored the blocking game with five blocks.

LAST MEETING
- The two squads met at the Edgedome earlier this season on October 12. In another five-set thriller, the Eagles won the last two sets for a 3-2 (25-18, 22-25, 18-25, 25-18, 15-11) victory.

- Katie Borchert swung for 13 kills and a .344 hitting percentage. Four Eagles hitters finished with nine or more kills. Bruehlman and Hoffmann claimed double-doubles, the former finishing with 14 kills and 15 digs while the latter earned 12 kills and 24 assists. The freshman stepped up in a big way, with Jennacy Wille recording 21 digs and Abbey Eivins putting together a 21-assist, 14-dig double-double.

- Joseph had another great performance in her NACC Freshman of the Year campaign, recording 45 assists and 14 digs. Torres led Aurora with 18 kills and Kate Poellmann tacked on 15 of her own.

OTHER NOTES
- The Eagles trip to the finals is their first since the 2015 season. Their 22 wins is their most since 2015 as well.

- The Spartans won the 2022 edition of the NACC Tournament. Aurora has won every NACC Tournament since 2017 besides the 2020 season.

- Joseph leads Division III nationally with 11.33 assists per set.

- Falk is eighth in the country with 1.24 blocks per set.

- The two squads combined for nine players on the All-NACC teams. Aurora led all programs with five players honored, while four from Edgewood College earned accolades. Paul Schlomer and his coaching staff claimed their second-straight Coaching Staff of the Year award.
