Eagles roll into NACC play against Inferno and Sabres

MADISON, Wis. - The Edgewood College softball team already has eight wins heading into conference play this weekend, their most since 2014, when they host Alverno at home this Saturday and head to Marian next Monday. Freshman third baseman Laurissa Belott looks to keep the Eagles in the win column by extending her 14-game hitting streak to begin her career.

The Eagles lead the all-time series, 21-9, against Alverno, but has lost the last four meetings against the Inferno. Edgewood College's last wins came in a sweep at Alverno in 2015. Against Marian, the Eagles trail the all-time series, 45-34. The Sabres have won four straight meetings, all by less than four runs.
