Eagles sweep Green Knights to close out 2026

DE PERE, Wis. – The Edgewood University softball team closed out the 2026 season on the road at St. Norbert College on Saturday. The Eagles took home the sweep, defeating the Green Knights 10-7 and 13-2 in five innings.

EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 10, ST. NORBERT COLLEGE 7
- St. Norbert College (15-26, 7-17 NACC) scored first in game one, as an RBI double and sacrifice fly plated two runners for the Green Knights in the bottom of the first inning.

- After a scoreless second and third frames, Edgewood University (14-25, 7-17 NACC) came roaring back in the fourth inning, scoring eight runs and taking an 8-2 lead. A pair of RBI singles from Lily Mabs and Grace Dooley gave the Eagles a 3-2 lead. Mabs came across to score on a hit by pitch on Allie Draper. Natalie Fields scored two Eagles on an RBI double, while another pair of RBI singles rounded out the inning for the Eagles.

- The Green Knights scored runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh but it wasn't enough to catch the Eagles, who plated runs in the fifth and sixth frames for the 10-7 final.

- Hailie Boardman pitched a complete game, striking out five batters.

- Savannah Radtke went 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring two runs and driving in three. Mabs and Dooley also added three hits, scored twice, and added two RBI.

- The Eagle Train continued in game two, scoring five runs in the second inning. A trio of RBI doubles from Dooley, Gracie Halfman, and Draper gave the Eagles 4-0 lead. Radtke looped an RBI single into the outfield to plate Draper for the fifth run of the game.

- St. Norbert plated a run in the bottom of the second inning on a sacrifice fly to center field. The Green Knights came within three runs of the Eagles with an RBI single in the third frame.

- Edgewood University continued to chip away, scoring twice in the fourth inning for a 7-2 lead. Six runs in the top of the fifth frame put the run-rule victory in sight for the Eagles, who took advantage of miscues from the Green Knights and totaled four hits take a 13-2 lead. A pair of strikeouts followed by a groundout to shortstop gave the Eagles the sweep.

- Lauren Prigge added the second complete game for the Eagles pitching staff on Saturday. Prigge struck out five batters and scattered just three hits on the afternoon.

- Fields, Mabs, Miller, Boardman, Halfman, and Draper each collected two hits in game two. Fields and Draper drove in three Eagles each. Six of the Eagles 14 hits were doubles.
