MADISON, Wis. - The Edgewood College softball team will bring their 2017 season to a close with a pair of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference games this weekend. The Eagles will travel to Milwaukee to face Alverno College in a Friday doubleheader, and then return home for a Sunday season finale against Marian University.

Edgewood College owns a commanding 21-7 lead over Alverno College in the all-time series between the two schools, although the Inferno swept a doubleheader from the Eagles last season. Marian holds a 43-34 advantage in one of the Eagles' longest continuous rivalries. Thirteen of the last 15 games between the Eagles and Sabres have been decided by three runs or less.
