Big NACC weekend looms for Eagles

The Edgewood College baseball team faces a big test early in the NACC schedule this weekend. The Eagles will go on the road against Benedictine Univeristy on Saturday, before returning home for a Sunday doubleheader with Concordia University Chicago. Benedictine was picked to finish third in the NACC this year, while the defending champion Cougars were picked first. The Eagles will also meet UW-Platteville in a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon.

Edgewood College trails the all-time series with UW-Platteville 8-5. The Eagles had won three straight games, but the Pioneers have won in each of the last two seasons, including an 11-6 win last year. Edgewood College swept a doubleheader from Benedictine last season to reclaim an 11-10 lead in the all time series. Edgewood College is looking to snap a nine-game losing streak against Concordia Chicago the Eagles last win came on May 1, 2012.
