Edgewood College vs. Benedictine University & Aurora University preview (.pdf)MADISON, Wis. - Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action will finally get underway for the Edgewood College softball team this weekend, as Benedictine University and Aurora University are on tap to take on the Eagles at Ceniti Park in Verona, Wis. Both of the Eagles' opponents are in the top-four in the NACC standings, with Benedictine holding an overall record of 5-4 and the Spartans entering at 7-3. The Eagles will square off with Benedictine on Saturday and Aurora on Sunday, with both doubleheaders scheduled to begin at 12 pm.

Benedictine will enter this weekend leading the all-time series against Edgewood College 14-4. Benedictine swept the Eagles by scores of 8-0 and 13-2 last season and has won 11-straight meetings. Edgewood College is still looking for its first ever win against Aurora. The Spartans have won all 20 meetings between the two teams, including a 2-1, 5-0 sweep last April.
