Edgewood College vs. Carroll, Alverno & Dominican volleyball preview (.pdf)

A rematch of the 2013 NACC Tournament Championship final between Edgewood College and Dominican University highlights an exciting week for the Edgewood College women's volleyball team. The Eagles will face the Stars on Saturday in River Forest, in what has become one of the NACC's best volleyball rivalries. Edgewood College also hosts Carroll University for a non-conference match on Tuesday night and Alverno College on Friday evening.

Edgewood College trails the all-time series with Carroll University 11-7, but has won each of the last four contests dating back to the 2011 season. The Eagles have never lost to Alverno College in 18 all-time matches. The Eagles haven't dropped a set to Alverno since their 2008 match, a streak of 19 consecutive sets. Both Edgewood College and Dominican University have won a conference tournament final on the other team's home floor within the last three years. The Stars lead the all-time series 8-6 over the Eagles, having snapped a three-match Eagles winning streak with their NACC Tournament triumph last season.
