Edgewood College baseball at Gene Cusic Classic preview (.pdf)

After a season opening win in Memphis, the Edgewood College baseball team points their bus south to Fort Myers, Fla. and the Gene Cusic Classic. The Eagles will play 10 varsity games over a seven-day period beginning on Sunday against Haverford College. Edgewood College pounded out 15 hits in a 7-2 victory over Christian Brothers on Thursday.

The Eagles face two repeat opponents from last season in Haverford and Bethel (Minn.), both of whom swept the Eagles in a doubleheader last season. The last time Edgewood College played Defiance they swept a doubleheader in 2004. The Eagles split two games with UMass-Boston way back in 2000 in Coach Brisack's first season. Edgewood College has never faced Gettysburg College.
