The Edgewood College baseball team is on a three-game winning streak heading into a challenging weekend. Both upcoming opponents, Benedictine and Aurora, were picked to place in the top three in the NAC preseason coaches poll. Aurora was predicted to win the league with Benedictine selected third.

Edgewood College and Benedictine University have split their doubleheader in each of the last three seasons. Not surprisingly, the all-time series between the schools is even at 6-6. Last season, Edgewood College won the first game 6-1, before Benedictine University took game two 4-3. The Eagles are 6-7 all-time against Aurora University, including a split of their regular season doubleheader last year at Stampfl Field, winning 10-7 before losing 11-0. The Eagles are 2-2 all-time at Solfisburg Park, having split doubleheader with the Spartans in both 2010 and 2008.
