However, the Eagles streak was in jeopardy last season as they escaped Milwaukee with a 15 inning, 6-4 win in game one. The Eagles then took game two 8-3 to keep the 16-game winning streak intact.

Last season, Rockford College ended a five-game losing streak to Edgewood College with an 11-3 victory in game one of the doubleheader. However, the Eagles came back to take game two 8-2 and they lead the all-time series 13-7. Edgewood College has won eight of the last 10 meetings with the Regents and haven't lost to Rockford at home since the 2007 season. In home games against Rockford, the Eagles are 8-4.
