Eagles open NAC season with a familiar foe

Brittany Bylsma
After a shaky opening road trip to the UW-Platteville Tipoff Tournament, the Edgewood College women's basketball team will jump directly into Northern Athletics Conference Tournament action. The Eagles showed great improvement in their second game, so expect the team to be ready for long-time rival Concordia University Wisconsin.

Concordia University Wisconsin plan to provide live video and audio broadcasts of Saturday's NAC opener. Edgewood College will provide live video and live stats of all home games this season. The links can be found on EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com.

Concordia Wisconsin leads the all-time series over the Eagles 34-29. The Falcons have won 12 of the last 15 meetings, although the two teams have split their regular season games in each of the last two seasons. The series has been remarkably close, with none of the previous six meetings being decided by more than eight points. Last year, the home teams won each game as the Eagles scored a 71-65 win in Madison and the Falcons answered with a 60-58 victory in Mequon.
