MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Three from Women's Basketball were named All-NACC Thursday as announced by the conference.
Laci Lindsey earned Second Team honors, while
Kate Gunderson and
Taylor Wollin claimed Honorable Mention accolades. The awards are voted on by the conference's head coaches.
Lindsey earned her first-ever All-NACC nod as a freshman. She paced all Eagles with 9.5 points per game. The freshman grabbed a team-best 11 rebounds against Judson (November 17) and scored 17 points for a double-double. She scored double-digit points in 13 games, including a personal high of 18 against Concordia Chicago (December 3). She was third in the NACC with .8 blocks per game.
Gunderson's All-NACC nod was her first. The senior was second in scoring with 9.3 points per game. She had key contributions in multiple key NACC games, including a personal best 20 points in a victory over MSOE (January 14) and 15 points alongside seven rebounds against Aurora (January 10).
Wollin's All-NACC honor was the first of her career. The sophomore led Edgewood University in several categories with 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. Wollin posted a season-high 17 points alongside eight rebounds against Beloit (November 19). She matched her season high of 10 rebounds and earned a personal best of seven assists against Concordia Chicago (February 11). Her five steals against MSOE (Janaury 14) were also a personal high.
Taylor Thiry of St. Norbert earned Player of the Year honors. Wisconsin Lutheran, headed by Klay Knueppel, claimed Coaching Staff of the Year. Lily Oiler of Wisconsin Lutheran and Ai Yonemura were tabbed for Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year respectively.
