MILWAUKEE, Wis. – After being shut out on Wednesday night by sixth ranked Augustana College, the Edgewood College women's soccer team tried to get their offense back on track on Saturday at Wisconsin Lutheran College. It took the Eagles a half to adjust but they tallied four second half goals in their 4-0 win over the Warriors.

In the first half, the Eagles (11-4-1, 6-3 NAC) fired shot after shot at the Wisconsin Lutheran College (4-12-1, 1-8-1 NAC) cage. However, Katie Sloan, the Warriors' goalkeeper turned away all seven of the Eagles' shots that were on net. Edgewood College outshot the Warriors 14-0 in the first frame.

It didn't take the Eagles long in the second half to get on the board with Elaine Gerry netting the Eagles' first goal in the 47th minute with the assist going to Kristina Santaga. Only 57 seconds later, Santaga extended the lead with her team-leading 12th goal of the year. Briana Franken and Gerry were awarded assists on the goal.

Edgewood College put the lead out of reach later in the half with two goals in a 15 minute span. Gerry registered her second goal of the game in the 55th minute and Molly Haertle capped the scoring with her 10th goal in the 70th minute.

In the game, the Eagles held Wisconsin Lutheran to no corner kicks and one shot which was not on net, while taking 33 shots of their own and earning 14 corners. Sloan ended the game with 14 saves.

The Eagles will return home on Tuesday when they host MSOE at Breese Stevens Field. Edgewood College will provide live video and live stats for the 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
