Trio of Eagles score in victory over Falcons

VERONA, Wis. – Three Eagles scored in a 3-1 victory over Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday. The Eagles claimed their third conference victory of the season, scoring two goals within one minute of each other on Saturday. Sarah Bolchen, Riley Haertle, and Aubrie Cruz each found the back of the net in the NACC win on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood University (3-6-2, 3-1-1 NACC) got on the scoreboard in the 64th minute on Saturday. Sarah Bolchen netted her second goal as an Eagle and first at Edgewood University Field at Reddan Park to put the Eagles up 1-0.

- A foul in the box just one minute later gave the Eagles a penalty kick. Riley Haertle knocked in the penalty kick for a 2-0 lead.

- Concordia Wisconsin (3-7-0, 2-3-0 NACC) quickly scored their first and only goal of the evening, just 30 seconds later. Aimie Gorman scored, assisted by Koffy'e Chappel.

- Aubrie Cruz netted her second goal of the season to give the Eagles a 3-1 final. Cruz found the back of the net off a pass from Bolchen.

- On the afternoon, Edgewood University led Concordia Wisconsin 18-16 in shots.

TOP PERFORMERS
- Bolchen led the Eagles attack with one goal and one assist.

- Haertle and Cruz each scored in the win.

- Brown totaled eight saves for the Eagles in net.

THE OPPOSITION
- Kara Claussner and Aubrey Johnson split time in net for the Falcons on Saturday. Claussner totaled two saves through the first 45 minutes.

- Aime Gorman scored the Falcons only goal on Saturday.

- Koffy'e Chappel dished out an assist.

- Edgewood University has now won three-straight contests against the Falcons.

- The Eagles 3-1-1 conference start is the best mark since the 2022 season.
