The first game lasted so long, that the team were forced to abandon their second game due to the Metrodome's time limit rules.
The Eagles and Auggies entered extra innings tied at one, and twice the Eagles appeared to have scored a game-winner in the top of an inning. In the ninth, Alex Berta was hit by a pitch and then sacrificed to second by Darren Besch. Steve Binder then drove him home with a single to left field. However, an Eric Olson single up the middle in the bottom of the ninth tied the game again at 2-2.
