DE PERE, Wis. – Despite being outshot 13-7 by St. Norbert College, the Edgewood College women's soccer team topped the Green Knights 2-1. The Eagles were shutout in the first half for only the third time this season and tallied both goals 23 minutes into the second frame, just a minute apart.

The first frame was played to a stalemate with the Eagles (6-3-1) only mustering one shot and being outshot 5-1. In the second half, the Eagle offense warmed up as they tallied six shots and scored their first goal 23 minutes into the frame. Sophomore Kelsey Beck scored the unassisted goal to give the Eagles the lead. Only a minute later, Tammi Hagensick setup freshman Abby Moder who netted her conference leading 11th goal of the season.

St. Norbert (4-6) pulled within a goal at the 74 minute mark as Caitlin Carrigan snuck a shot past Eagle goalkeeper Ilana Bar-av. The goal ended Bar-av's scoreless minute streak at 438:48, which is almost five complete matches.

The Eagles will be in action again on Tuesday when they resume conference play at Lakeland College. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
