MADISON, Wis. - The Edgewood College women's basketball team was happy to see the Concordia Wisconsin women suffer its first Northern Athletics Conference loss of the season. The Eagles (7-5, 5-1 NAC) and Falcons (10-3, 8-1 NAC) are now tied in the loss column in the NAC North division. Edgewood College will start a 3-game week versus NAC teams with sub-.500 records beginning tonight when Alverno College visits the Todd Wehr Edgedome at 7:00 p.m.
The Eagles are currently riding a 3-game winning streak and has won seven of their last eight games overall.
Megan Scheele sits just 45 points shy of the all-time Edgewood College points record and she'll have an opportunity to set the mark at home this week. After tonight's contest with Alverno, the Eagles will host Rockford on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. If another game is needed, then Scheele will need to wait until Saturday when the Eagles travel to River Forest, Ill. to take on Dominican University.
