RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Edgewood College women's soccer team suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Dominican University on the road Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles, who scored 33 goals in its last four games, was held scoreless against the Stars in its first conference loss of the season. Despite what the score reads, Edgewood College, appeared to be the team in control for the majority of the contest.

The visiting team outshot the Stars 12-3, won the corner kick battle 3-1, and led the shots on goal comparison 3-1. Michelle Reynoso made for an efficient day of scoring chances for the Stars after converting on the only shot against Ilana Bar-av in the 31st minute of the first half.

Elaine Gerry, who tallied 15 goals in her previous four games, managed just one shot on goal against Dominican. Laura Marx and Kelsey Beck each matched Gerry with a shot on goal as well, but neither could find the equalizer.
