MADISON, Wis. – Elaine Gerry added three more scores in Edgewood College's fourth straight win in a 5-0 decision over Beloit College at Breese Stevens Field Tuesday afternoon.

The Eagles (7-1, 3-0 NAC) scored two in the first half and three in the second to run away with their fifth straight win over Beloit College whom they have a 5-1 all-time record against.

Elaine Gerry continues her phenomenal freshman season with a hat trick that gave her 20 goals on the season which matches the number on the back of her uniform. The Prairie du Sac native scored her first in the 26th minute after a beautiful lead pass that sprung her to a breakaway where she beat the keeper one-on-one.

Gerry's final two goals came in the first 18 minutes of the second half. She capped off her performance with a header inside the right post. All three of Gerry's goals were assisted by Elyse Clouthier who now has 10 assists on the season, all of them coming in the last three games.

It also ties her career-high which she set as a freshman in 2006 and places her as the nation's top assist player in Division III with 10 through seven games played (1.43 apg). Not only that, but Clouthier's third assist was her 100th career point as an Eagle and moved her to sixth on the career points list. She also scored in the game adding her sixth goal of the season in the seventh minute off a penalty kick.

Kelsey Trieloff scored the first goal of her career off a 10-yard strike following a nice dribble to the middle of the box in the 80th minute. Ilana Bar-av made four saves en route to her third shutout of the season.

Edgewood College will face off against Dominican University this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in River Forest, Ill. It could be the Eagles' toughest match yet as both teams will head into the day with just one loss and unbeaten in conference play.
