WEST CHICAGO, Ill. – The Edgewood University women's golf team competed at the Benedictine Fall Invite on Wednesday. Kendall Kafar led the way for an Eagles team that finished 17th of 22. Edgewood University carded a 385 on Wednesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kafar led the way for Edgewood University, carding an 89 that featured two pars and a birdie.
- Grace Schomin finished the meet with a 93 on Wednesday. Schomin recorded four pars on the day.
- Madison Najar and Lilly Sachtjen were next in line for the Eagles, carding a 97 and 106, respectively.
- Kamryn Ibinger rounded out the Eagles team with a 118 on Wednesday.
- Hannah Hegland carded a career-best round of 104 on Wednesday, competing as an individual. Hegland's round featured three pars.
THE MEET
- Aurora University took home the team title with a total score of 309. The Spartans bested St. Norbert College by 22 strokes.
- Yinan Lu of Marian University took home medalist honors on Wednesday, carding a three-over par 74. Thanpimol Tharpanawongwech of Aurora University finished runner-up to Lu, carding a 75 (+4).

- Edgewood University will compete in the Bird Bowl III on Saturday, September 13. Action will take place at the River Club of Mequon.
