MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood University women's golf team hosted the Edgewood University Fall Invite on Sunday and Monday. The Eagles finished eighth of nine teams with a 716, which is the second-best 36 hole score in program history.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Grace Schomin led the Eagles with a 172 to finish in a tie for 23rd place. Schomin opened the tournament with an 87 on Sunday. The sophomore followed that up with an 85 that featured a birdie and five pars.
- Vivi Hruby finished in 27th place with a 175. The freshman improved by nine strokes in round two, carding an 82. In Monday's round, Hruby carded seven pars and a birdie.
- Kendall Kafar was next in line for the Eagles, carding a 182 to finish in 34th place. Kafar's best round came on Sunday, as the junior carded an 88 that featured five pars.
- Isla Rechlicz carded a 192 to finish in a tie for 43rd place. Rechlicz improved by 10 strokes in Monday's round, recording a 91 that featured six pars.
- Lia Gawryk posted a career-best 193 to finish in a tie for 45th place. Gawryk was consistent, carding a 96 and 97 in the tournament.
- Elisia Wynos competed as an individual for the Eagles, carding a 201 and finishing in a tie for 51st place. Wynos finished with rounds of 101 and 100 across two days of competition.
THE MEET
- UW-Stevens Point claimed the team title with a 644 (+68) two-day total. The Pointers carded a 319 in round one.
- Yinan Lu of Marian University claimed medalist honors carding a nine over par 153. In round one, Lu carded a two over par 74.

- Edgewood University will compete at the Midwest Region Fall Classic on Friday and Saturday. Action is set for 1:30 p.m. on Friday from Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Wis.
