MILWAUKEE – Kallie Norby has been named a recipient of the NACC FAR Award, the league office announced Wednesday.
The award was developed by the NACC's Faculty Athletics Representatives (FARs) to recognize outstanding achievements and commitment in three essential areas – academic performance, contribution to athletics, and service to the campus community. Additionally, it recognizes the perseverance and determination demonstrated in the pursuit of success in those endeavors.
Each NACC institution is allowed to nominate two individuals per semester. These nominees are then taken under consideration by a subcommittee of the conference's FARS, which determines the winners.
Norby competed in four seasons with the Edgewood University women's basketball team. In 2023-24, she was named First Team All-NACC following a career-best 327 points in the season. Following the 2024-25 season, Norby was named Second Team All-NACC. Norby closed out her career with the Eagles with 903 points, 490 total rebounds, 125 assists, and 49 blocks.
Norby actively contributed to her community by helping run summer basketball camps, giving her the opportunity to share her passion for basketball and mentor the next generation of players. She also traveled to Puerto Rico, where she worked with impoverished families and organized activities for children. Norby was also active on campus as a mentor in the Cutting Edge program.
In the classroom, Norby graduated with a degree in Nursing, carrying a 3.71 cumulative GPA. Norby is the first player in Edgewood University women's basketball history to earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District nod three times. Norby is a four-time NACC Scholar-Athlete.
