WEST CHICAGO, Ill. – The Edgewood College women's golf team competed at the Benedictine University Spring Invite on Thursday morning. Braxton Brown and Kendall Kafar finished in a tie for 12th place overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kafar posted an 84 (+13) on Thursday. The freshman posted a 38 on the front nine, which featured a birdie on hole eight. Kafar recorded a 46 on the back nine. She posted six pars on the day.
- Brown matched her teammate with an 84 (+13). The senior recorded four pars and two birdies. Brown's birdies came on holes eight and 18 at St. Andrews Golf and C.C.
- Kamryn Ibinger carded a 107, a career-best effort for the junior. Ibinger finished in 45th place overall.
THE MEET
- Aurora University took home the team title with a team score of 306 (+22).
- Ellie Knight earned medalist honors, carding a three-over par 74 on the day.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will compete in a dual meet at Concordia Wisconsin on Tuesday, April 22. Action is set for 9:40 p.m. from Mequon, Wis.
