COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's golf team hosted the first-ever Bird Bowl on Sunday at Door Creek Golf Course. The Eagles faced off with the Concordia Wisconsin Falcons in the dual meet. Concordia Wisconsin took home the win, carding a 375. Edgewood College finished the meet with a team-score of 440.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kendall Kafar led the Eagles on the afternoon, carding an 84 to finish third overall. The freshman posted nine pars on the day, including five-straight to close out the round.
- Braxton Brown was next in line for the Eagles, carding an 87. Brown posted a 47 on the front nine, before carding a 40 on the back nine. Brown recorded six pars on the day and birdied 15, a long par-five.
- Kamryn Ibinger carded a 129 to finish seventh for the Eagles. The junior's best efforts came on hole eight, a par-three, where she came away with a bogey. Ibinger shot 63 on the front nine, before carding a 66 on the back nine.
- Nadia Marshall rounded out the Eagles lineup with a 140 on Sunday. Marshall's best came on the front nine, where she carded a 68.
THE OPPOSITION
- Concordia Wisconsin took home the dual victory on Sunday, carding a 375.
- Elizabeth Montaba earned medalist honors, carding an 82 (+11). Montaba carded two birdies on the back nine and totaled four pars on the day.
