MILWAUKEE – After winning the NACC Regular Season Championship in 2025, the Edgewood University men's soccer team was well-represented with All-NACC honors, as the league office released its season awards on Thursday. The Eagles collected four major awards. Cristian Torres-Gale was named Midfielder of the Year, Ben Brody collected Defender of the Year, Maverick Van Laanen was tabbed as Goalkeeper of the Year. Lastly, Tim Bruner and his coaching staff were named Coaching Staff of the Year.
The Eagles finished their season with an undefeated 12-0-0 conference record and a returned to the NACC Tournament as the top seed. It was a phenomenal third season under head coach Tim Bruner, with 15 wins, 12 of them coming via shutout.
Nine Eagles earned All-Conference nods. Maverick Van Laanen, Ben Brody, Jack Knight, Riley Stevens, Cristian Torres-Gale, and Connor Gage all earned First Team honors. Brandon Kaup, Liam Moreira, and Gabe Voung collected Second Team recognition.

Torres-Gale was a consistent and dynamic force for the Eagles midfield in his junior season. The Madison native claimed First Team and Midfielder of the Year honors. Torres-Gale netted seven goals and dished out an assist. In conference action, Torres-Gale scored six times.

Van Laanen closed out his senior campaign with his second-straight Goalkeeper of the Year honors. The senior allowed just six goals on the season, just two coming in conference play. Van Laanen finished the season with a 0.860 save percentage and six shutouts. He started 16 contests and posted 37 saves. In conference play, Van Laanen collected 10 wins and four shutouts alongside 22 saves.

Brody claimed First Team All-NACC honors and Defensive Player of the Year recognition. He posted one goal and one assist while helping to hold opponents to just eight goals on the season. The junior started all 19 games for the Eagles dynamic defense.

Bruner continues to prove a strong turnaround in just his third season with the Eagles. Bruner claims back-to-back NACC Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Under his guidance, the Eagles have reached the post-season in three-straight seasons. In 2025, Bruner led the Eagles to their first ever undefeated season in conference play. The Eagles returned to the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll and were a consistent presence in regional polls. Bruner led the Eagles to back-to-back NACC Regular Season Championships and the top-seed in the conference tournament. Ben Brereton, Tony Kollasch, Logan Fletcher, Peter Lively, Dan Gage, and Ryan Quamme make up Bruner's coaching staff.

Knight claimed First Team All-NACC honors for the second-straight season. The senior was a major force in the Eagles defensive line. Knight added three goals and one assist, all coming in conference action.

Stevens was a key hub in the Edgewood University midfield. The junior started 18 games and scored twice in 2025. Both of the midfielder's goals came in a victory over Dominican.

Gage continued to be a dynamic and powerful part of the Edgewood University attack in 2025. The sophomore led the Eagles with 11 goals and 26 points. Nine of Gage's goals came in conference play, with two goals coming against Benedictine. Gage collected a team-best six game winning goals in 2025.

Kaup did a bit of everything for Edgewood University in 2025. The senior scored six goals and dished out six assists for the Eagles attack. His best came against Marian in the regular season, when Kaup netted a hat trick. Kaup also provided key defense that helped the Eagles hold teams to just eight goals on the season.

Moreira claimed second team all-conference recognition for his efforts in the Eagles midfield. In his first season with the Eagles, Moreira posted three goals and six assists. The St. Paul, Minnesota native competed in 17 contests for the Eagles in 2025, posting one game winning goal.

Voung, a forward, was a key in the Eagles attack. The senior brought speed to the Eagles front line in 2025. Voung netted six goals and led the team with nine assists. Voung's best came against Concordia Chicago, where he scored twice. Four of Voung's goals were game winners.
