LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the 14th straight year, the Edgewood College women's volleyball program was listed among the programs to receive an American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. Over 1,400 programs across the national earned the honor.
To qualify as an AVCA Team Academic Award Recipient, a team must maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Eagles team GPA this past year was a 3.73. In addition, the Eagles earned the Honor Roll distinction, representing the top 20 percent of the team GPAs in Division III.
This marks the 14th straight year for the Eagles to receive the honor which ties for the longest streak in the NACC.
Other NACC schools to receive the honor in 2023-24 were Aurora, Concordia Chicago, Concordia Wisconsin, Illinois Tech, Lakeland, Marian, St. Norbert, and Wisconsin Lutheran.
