Eagles compete at Midwest Region Classic

KANSASVILLE, Wis. – Junior Braxton Brown led the Edgewood College women's golf team at the Midwest Region Fall Classic with a two-day score of 177. Sarah Zimmerman and Nadia Marshall showed improvement throughout the event that took place at Brighton Dale Links. Dawson Anderson also competed for the Eagles, carding her career-low 18-hole score on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brown opened the meet with an 84 on day one and shot a 93 on day two, finishing in a tie for 111st place of 194 participants.

- Freshman Anderson had a stellar day one, shooting an 87. Anderson carded a 97 on day two for a two-round score of 184. Anderson's day one 87 was a career-best for the Eagle.

- Sarah Zimmerman and Nadia Marshall rounded out the Eagles lineup. Zimmerman fired off a 197, while Marshall carded a 290.

THE MEET
- UW-Whitewater finished with the team crown, carding a two-day total of 623, which was five strokes better than runner-up Adrian College.

- Kallie Lux of Whitewater won medalist honors with a 148. She carded a 74 on both days of action.

UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will head to the first of two-rounds of the NACC Championships. The conference champion will be determined over four rounds, split up into two weekends. Rounds one and two will begin this Saturday in Rockford, Ill. at Aldeen G.C.
