ROCKFORD, Ill. – The first two rounds of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference women's golf Championships are in the books and Edgewood College played well over the first two days. The Eagles are in seventh place as a team and Milanne Dahmen sits in 16th place after two days at the Aldeen Golf Course.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dahmen led the Eagles squad with a two-round score of 177. Dahmen opened her first NACC Championships with a 92, and improved on day two with an 85, her career-low round.
- Another newcomer, Dawson Anderson was next in line for the Eagles, carding a 96 to open competition. Anderson added a 98 on Sunday, for a two-round score of 194. She currently sits in a tie for 33rd place.
- Braxton Brown opened her third NACC Championships with a 93. She added a 102 on Sunday and finished with a two-day score of 195.
- Sarah Zimmerman and Nadia Marshall rounded out the Eagles lineup. Zimmerman carded a 197 (98-99), while Marshall notched a 268 (141-127). Marshall's Sunday score of 127 is her career-best mark.
THE TOURNAMENT
- Aurora has six golfers in the top 10, a big reason for the Spartans lead in their quest for another NACC title.
- Yinan Lu leads the tournament with a two-round score of 153. The Marian golfer opened the weekend with a 75, before carding a 78 on Sunday.
UP NEXT
- Rounds three and four of the NACC Championships are set to begin next Saturday at Washington County G.C. in Harford, Wisconsin.
