AURORA, Ill. – The Edgewood College Men's Basketball team is back in the postseason for the second-straight year, qualifying for the NACC Tournament with a 10-10 league record. The Eagles, who received the No. 6 seed after winning a tiebreaker for the final spot, open up the league tournament at No. 3 Aurora Wednesday night.

NACC TOURNAMENT HISTORY: The Eagles are making their 10th appearance in the NACC Tournament and own a 10-8 record across nine previous trips. Edgewood College won its only NACC Tournament title in 2012 and has reached the tournament title game three other times (2007, 2011, and 2014). The Eagles are 5-6 on the road in NACC Tournament games.
AGAINST AURORA: Edgewood College and Aurora met just once during the regular season, but it was recent as the two squared off last Tuesday. The Spartans picked up a 75-67 win despite a double-double from
Emil Radisevic for the Eagles.
The two teams have met three times in the NACC Tournament, all three matchups at Aurora. They played in the first-ever NACC Tournament Championship in 2007 with Aurora picking up an 85-69 win. Aurora won 77-69 in the 2015 semifinals, and knocked out the Eagles in the semifinals last season, 76-63.
2018 NACC TOURNAMENT: The Eagles were also the No. 6 seed last season and exactly one year to the date picked up a win over the No. 3 seed, MSOE.
Jake Negus scored 25 points in a 52-47 victory and
Sy Staver provided the heroics with a go-ahead 3-point shot with two seconds left on the clock. The Eagles knocked down two free throws with one second remaining for the five-point win.
Aurora captured the 2018 NACC Tournament title, defeating Benedictine 76-71 in the title game. It was fifth NACC Tournament win for Aurora, the most of any NACC school.
