LISLE, Ill. – Men's Basketball hit the road one last time this season Saturday. They took on the Benedictine Eagles in a NACC tilt. Benedictine (9-14, 8-8 NACC) had a hot hand in the second half, propelling them to a 77-64 victory over Edgewood University (4-18, 4-12).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- While Edgewood University started off hot, ahead 7-0 at 16:41, Benedictine evened things up 9-9 at 12:45. Threes would fall for Edgewood University, fueling a 10-1 response to pull ahead 19-10. Benedictine replied in kind, a 15-3 surge pushing them ahead 24-22 with 4:11 left. Edgewood University attacked the paint, helping them head to the locker room ahead 28-27.
- Three pointers once again had Edgewood University flying high, opening the second half ahead 34-31 at 17:21. A 14-2 barrage from Benedictine put the hosts ahead 45-36 at 12:47. Benedictine would never trail again, Edgewood University having no answer for their hot hand.
- Benedictine shot 60.71 (17-of-28) percent from the field in the second half. Noah Mason impressed with a 29-point, 13-rebound double-double.
- Ryan Sammons and Ryan Tucker posted 14 and 13 points respectively. Connor Glasgow came down with 10 rebounds.

Trent Tousana led all Edgewood University players with 20 points and five rebounds.

Logan Steffensmeier fell just shy of a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. He also added a block.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tousana's 20 points were a season high for the senior.
