MADISON, Wis. – Freshman Sarah Pophal shot 182 to tied for 30th and lead three Edgewood College women's golfers at the UW-Whitewater Fall Invite on Saturday afternoon at Blackhawk Country Club. Kelsey Blankenheim (86th) and Laura Boudreau (91st) also competed for the Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Pophal, 21st after round one after shooting 86, had a tough round two in her second Top-30 performance this season
-Through eight rounds this season, Pophal is averaging 89.38 per round and ranks in the NACC Top-10
-Freshman Laura Boudreau registered her second-best score of the season (242)
-Kelsey Blankenheim improved two strokes in the final round to finish with a 228 and an 86th-place finish

FOR THE OPPONENTS
-Host UW-Whitewater won the meet after shooting 640 and outdistanced the field by 45 shots
-Concordia Wisconsin was the top finisher out of six NACC schools after shooting a 714

-The Eagles head to the NACC Championships where they will play three rounds over three days to determine the conference champion starting this Friday, September 29 at Meadowbrook CC in Racine, Wis.
