FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's golf team showed an improvement of 18 strokes over last weekend as they competed in the Marian University Invitational. The Eagles placed seventh in the event and shot their lowest team round of the year on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College went out on Saturday and posted their best team score of the season with a 458. The Eagles followed it on Sunday with a 468 to outpace 8th place Alverno College by 134 strokes.
- Senior Dana Marshall showed great consistency shooting matching 97s on each day of the tournament. Her score of 192 placed her 13th out of 42 golfers.
- Kendelle Grube bounced back from an uncharacteristic first round to shoot 108 in Sunday's second round for a two-day total of 228. Molly DuCharme had the opposite couple of days, scoring 114 on Saturday and finishing the tournament at 241.
- Taylor Maier made her season debut for the team, shooting 265, while freshman Sydney Wilcox improved nine strokes on Sunday in her collegiate golf debut to finish with a score of 281.
FOR THE FOES
- Lake Forest College posted the low team score each day and won the event with a two-day total of 733, topping runner-up UW-Stevens Point by 20 strokes.
- UW-Stevens Point's Tiffany Boak took home individual medalist honors with rounds of 82 and 91 for a 36-hole total of 173.
UP NEXT
- The Eagles and Marian University will attend a triangular hosted by Lake Forest at Foss Park G.C. in North Chicago, Ill. The 18-hole event will be on Saturday, September 17 at 10:00 a.m.
