Eagles win Marian University Triangular

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Sunday afternoon's triangular was not the Edgewood College women's golf team's lowest score this season, but it will be marked down as their best finish this year. The Eagles won the Marian University Triangular at Whispering Springs Golf Course, marking their first victory since the 2011-12 season.

Edgewood College fired a 456 to edge Wisconsin Lutheran by three strokes for the title. The Eagles were led by Dana Marshall, who turned in her best score this spring with a 107. Marshall finished just one stroke off the lead. Right behind Marshall was Moe Baemmert and Paige Murdoch, who each tallied a 108 on the 5,802 yard course. Freshman Kendelle Grube rounded out the top five with an 18-hole score of 133.

Kristin Skubic and Sydney Volkman of Marian University shared medalist honors with a 106. The Warriors finished with a 459 while the Sabres placed third with a 466.
