GALENA, Ill. – It has been over six months since the Edgewood College women's golf team has played in a tournament, but the Eagles turned in their best team score this year. Edgewood College has fielded just two team scores this year, but Wednesday's 436 was 46 strokes better than earlier this season and placed them fourth of seven at the Clarke Spring Invitational.

As she did in four fall tournaments, Paige Murdoch led Edgewood College. The freshman scored just above her season average with a 103. One spot behind Murdoch was Moe Baemmert, who competed in her first event for the Eagles. Baemmert finished 20th of 37 golfers with a 103.

Dana Marshall, who competed in nine events in the fall, carded a 55 on both the front and back nine for a 110. Also making her first appearance for Edgewood College, Tatum Plonsky improved her back-nine score by 11 strokes for a 119. Rounding out the Eagles top five was Kendelle Grube with a 146.

This Friday, Edgewood College will host a dual match against Concordia Wisconsin. The match will be held at Door Creek Golf Course in Cottage Grove.
