The Edgewood College baseball team gets a major test this weekend, against two Northern Athletics Conference co-leaders in Benedictine and Aurora. Benedictine has a 12-4 overall record, while Aurora was the preseason favorite in this year's NAC coaches poll. Sunday's games were relocated to Lisle due to unplayable field conditions at Stampfl Field.

Edgewood College and Benedictine have split their regular season series in each of the last five consecutive seasons. Benedictine leads the all-time series 8-7 by virtue of their 10-3 victory in last season Northern Athletics Conference Tournament. Aurora University leads the all-time series over the Eagles 9-6, but the Spartans currently have a three-game winning streak by a combined score of 35-4. The Eagles last win in the series was a 10-7 victory at Stampfl Field in 2011.
