Eagles sixth in own invite to close 2012-13 season

MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's golf team wrapped up the 2012-13 season by hosting their first home event since 2007. The Eagles broke 400 as a team on the second day of the tournament and finished in sixth place with a two day total of 815. UW-Stout beat both Indiana Tech and Mount Mercy University to claim the team title.

Every Eagle improved their score in Monday morning's second round, led by senior Emilee Guderyon who shot 97 for a two-day total of 198 in her final event for Edgewood College. Alice Whalen and Melanie Chang finished just one stroke apart with 201 and 202, respectively. Chang turned in the Eagles low round of the day with a 96.

Sydney Jedlicka improved by four shots on the second day to score a 36-hole total of 214. Teammate Katie Faber was right behind Jedlicka with a score of 217.

UW-Stout turned a one stroke advantage after day one into a 10-shot victory with a score 676. Indiana Tech edged out Mount Mercy for second place by just one shot, 686 to 687. Nina Puch of Concordia Wisconsin won the individual medalist title with a 13-over par, two-day total of 157.
