Tournament Results
FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's golf team continued to play well over the weekend, winning the Marian University Invitational. The Eagles combined to shoot 744, to top Marian University who shot 896.
Jessica Spitzer led the Eagles' squad who placed three golfers in the top-5 with a second place finish.
Spitzer improved on her day one score of 94 with an 85 on the second day to finish with a total of 179 placing her second behind Concordia University Wisconsin's Mariel McIntyre. McIntyre shot 86-78 for a total of 164 to take the win.
Emilee Guderyon finished third with a total of 184, shooting 92 in both rounds while
Amanda Bliske shot 92-94 for a total of 186 to place fourth. In her first collegiate meet,
Tori Wuollett placed seventh with a two-day total of 207 and
Melanie Chang shot 214 to place eighth.
Katie Landon and
Mary Moore rounded out the Eagles' golfers, shooting 219 and 222, respectively.
Edgewood College will next participate in the Northern Athletics Conference Women's Golf Championship on October 2-4. The tournament is set to take place at St. Andrews Golf Course in West Chicago, Illinois.
