Tournament Results

MONMOUTH, Ill. – For the second straight day in Monmouth, the Edgewood College women's golf team improved on their score from the prior tournament. The Eagles shot a season-best 360 to place them second out of 10 teams at the Monmouth Invitational which was played a Gibson Hills Golf Course.

Jessica Spitzer led the Eagles with an 88, which placed her sixth. Amanda Bliske and Jenna Pfeffer were not far behind, each posting 89's to tie for ninth. Emilee Gudyeron posted a 94 to round out the Eagles' squad.

Millikin University won the tournament with a total of 353 to beat the Eagles by seven strokes. Augustana College finished third with a 361 while Clarke College and Wheaton College finished fourth with 364.

The Eagles will be in action again next weekend when the play in the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational. The event will take place at St. Andrews G.C. in West Chicago, Illinois.
