Meet Results

PEOSTA, Iowa - The Edgewood College women's golf team played their first spring event of 2011 at the Clarke University Spring Invitational. The Eagles didn't qualify for a team score, but two players cracked the top 10 in the field.

The tournament was played at Lacoma Golf Course in East Dubuque, Ill. on Saturday and continued at Thunder Hills Country Club in Pesota, Iowa on Sunday. Emilee Guderyon fired the Eagles only sub-90 round of the weekend with an 88 on Saturday at Lacoma. She finished fifth in the 28 golfer field with a two-day total of 179, her best score of the season.

Transfer Jenna Pfeffer made her debut as an Eagle and shot back-to-back 91s. Pfeffer finished tird for eighth in the tournament with a score of 182. Mary Moore rounded out the team with a 97 on Saturday and finished with a two-day total of 203.

Edgewood College will return to the links next weekend, competing at the Benedictine University Spring Invitational in West Chicago, Ill.
