Eagles open home schedule at Stampfl this week

James Bertakis
After getting five games cancelled last week due to cold weather, the Edgewood College baseball team is anxious to get back to the playing field. The Eagles face a challenging week with ninth-ranked UW-Stevens Point and their first Northern Athletics Conference games at Benedictine University and back home against Aurora University.

Edgewood College will videocast and provide live stats for all home baseball games except April 16. Benedictine will also have live stats. All links can be found on EdgewoodCollegeEagles.com.

UW-Stevens Point has won all 13 meetings over Edgewood College in the history of the two teams. Last year, the Eagles pushed the 22nd-ranked Pointers to the limit losing a pair of one-run games 2-1 and 5-4.

Edgewood College is 5-5 all-time against Benedictine University. The two teams have split their doubleheader in each of the last three seasons.

Aurora University ended the Eagles' season last year with a pair of victories in the 2010 NAC Tournament. The Spartans lead the all-time series 6-5 including three of the last four games.
