MEQUON, Wis. – Playing in their first two-day tournament all season, the Edgewood College women's golf won the Concordia Cup. The Eagles finished the event at North Shore Golf Club in Mequon with a stroke total of 760 to win the meet by 60 strokes. Edgewood College placed all four golfers in the top-10 to win their second tournament of the season.
Jessica Spitzer was the Eagles top performer as she finished second, her third straight top-five finish. She shot a 96 on day one and followed it up with an 82 on the second day.
Emilee Guderyon was consistent, shooting 95 on day one and 94 on day two to finish fourth.
Amanda Bliske improved her day one score of 101 with a 91 on day two and finished in sixth place.
Mary Moore posted the lowest score of her career in the second round with a 93. She finished the tournament in eighth place with a total of 201.
Concordia Wisconsin's Mauriel McIntyre was the individual medalist with a two-day total of 169.
Edgewood College will next be in action this weekend when they play in the Northern Athletics Conference Championships held at Glen Erin Golf Course in Janesville. The tournament will be played on Saturday and Sunday.
