MONMOUTH, Ill. – In their second one round tournament in as many days, the Edgewood College women's golf team improved both their finish and their score. The Eagles shot 367 and finished in eighth place out of 14 teams at the Monmouth Fighting Scots Invitational on Saturday.

Emilee Guderyon put together the best round of her career with an 81. She finished in sixth place, only six shots behind the tournament winner, Alyssa Gaudio of North Central College. Amanda Bliske finished in 20th place as she shot an 87.

Jessica Spitzer and Mary Moore completed Edgewood College's team as they shot 96 and 103, respectively.

The 367 was 20 shots better than yesterday's 387 at the Knox College Invitational and the Eagles finished four spots higher than they did yesterday. North Central College won the event with a 335.

The Eagles will next be in action on September 18-19 when they travel to the Benedictine University Fall Classic.
