GALESBURG, Ill. – The Edgewood College women's golf team teed off their 2010 season at the Knox College Invitational. The Eagles, golfing with only four golfers, finished the one round event in 12th place with a score of 387.

Jessica Spitzer was Edgewood College's top performer, shooting an 83. She shot 42 on the front nine and 41 on the back nine to finish in eighth place, only seven strokes behind the winner. Emilee Guderyon shot a 45 on both the front and back nine, for a total 90. She finished in 31st place.

Amanda Bliske was not far behind Guderyon as she shot 93 to finish in 42nd place. Mary Moore was the Eagles final golfer and she finished the round with a 121.

Out of 15 teams, the Eagles came in 12th place with a total of 387. North Central College won the tournament with a score of 329.

Edgewood College will take the course again tomorrow at the Monmouth College Invitational. The tournament will be played at the Gibson Woods Golf Course in Monmouth, Illinois.
